Yes, I built the Lego “Spaceship” but then I immediately disassembled it, preferring to use the pieces for something new. For only then these little bricks of magic were set free from their predetermined “destiny” and now ready for a metamorphosis into something far more interesting. Such an approach always left room for a personal creativity that was not tied to the instruction manual. Over the years, I have also taken this approach with my art, where I aim to demonstrate the complexity, inconsistency and ambiguousness of our own perceptions. An absence of one “correct” answer and a constant “remodeling” of reality inside the painting.
