Dasha Kudinova

Dasha Kudinova
Dasha Kudinova (b. 1982) - Russian artist. Was born in the Amur region (Russia).

In 2004 she graduated from the faculty of graphic design of the Moscow national Institute of design. After graduation, she lived in New York. Was engaged in fashion photography, photo art and graphic design. Worked as an assistant to American photographer Robert Whitman and collaborated with Cuban artist Liseth Castillo.

Dasha Kudinova developed her own unique style in painting, referring to computer graphics and conceptual sculpture. She creates abstract works on the basis of images obtained by melting plastic objects. The aesthetics of her painting is characterized by a special tactile sensuality, the proximity of the abstract to the material. Many works have no name, which is reflected in the desire of the artist to avoid associations at the verbal level and to transfer their work to a special visual dimension.

In 2016, she entered the InArt ratings "100 young artists" and "Top-15 auction sales of young authors in the last 2 years". Works by the artist are in the collection of Werner Schneider, as well as private collections (USA, Cuba, Germany, Switzerland, Russia).
