Alejandro Rodriguez Fajardo

Alejandro Rodriguez Fajardo was born in 1969 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. From an early age he was familiar with the means of artistic expression. The nephew of José Luis Fajardo and the great-grandson of the great Canarian landscape architect Enrique Sánchez, his early penchant for the artistic environment was almost predictable. In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of La Laguna. In the same year, he decided to devote himself entirely to painting, working on realism as the language of artistic expression.


In 1997, he held his first exhibition in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. In 1998 artist held his second exhibition at the Sala Club de Prensa Canaria in Las Palmas. In the same year, he received second prize in the V Ciudad de Las Palmas Painting Prize and first prize at the Virgen de la Cuevita competition in Artenara, Gran Canaria. In 2004 he held his third exhibition at the Sala Mapfre in Las Palmas. In 2005 he participated in Cuenca in the group exhibition "Arte solidario". In 2008, he held his fourth exhibition on the island at Sala Magenta in Las Palmas.
