Aleš Brázdil was born in Jaroměř, Czech Republic in 1983. He studied in Vaclav Hollar School of Art and in Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. His works are represented in Jana & Milan Foundation, in Artbanka Museum of Young Art and in private collections in Czech Republic and abroad.
He says, "At the beginning of my work I was interested in portrait, body and figuration. Those were the main lines of my work. Later I began to explore the line between realism and abstract. I work with “reproduction paintings”, as I call them. Those are copies of other works or copies of copies. Colors are the basic building blocks in those paintings. It is this mutancy that captures many positions in one form.”
