Works are presented in private and public collections in Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary, Germany. In 2019 he entered the list of the best contemporary artists in Russia (Arteex). Vasiliev lives and works in Kaluga.

Alexey Vasiliev, as an author, is in a state of constant “self-brewing” and hermetic existence. His established image is a reclusive or ascetic artist, a way of life outside the artistic environment, outside of trends and outside of society, where his immediate environment becomes the subject of reflection, and each exhibition is the result of varying degrees of detachment and complete immersion in the process. In a short period of full concentration, new works are created on canvas, paper, tracing paper and concrete.
