Victor received his professional art education starting at the age of ten and was one of the few graduates to complete an extensive and rigorous program at a renowned art school in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine. Working primarily with acrylic on a board, Victor demonstrates mastery of lines and color through focused brushwork and a palette dominated by rich earthy tones heavily applied to the ground. The physics of his work is
enhanced by accents of mascara and, at times, the addition of industrial materials such as varnish and plaster.
At various stages of his work, Victor's figurative forms were built with elongated lines, exaggerated features and geometric patterns. While the early paintings are recognizable for their use of solid lines and bold colors that refer to Byzantine mosaics or stained glass, his work is based broadly on Symbolism and Expressionism. His art is dominated by planes of soft light that intersect and overlap, objects and figures emerge from a fabulous atmosphere of harmonious colors, and emotions and meaning are masterfully conveyed through a bold pattern and a bright line.
Victor's work can be found in galleries and private collections around the world.
