Lucy Stopford is an artist based in the United Kingdom, she was born in 1967.
"Working exclusively from life, in oils, charcoal and clay, I am interested in capturing the experience of creating a portrait by retaining the gestural marks of enquiry in the finished piece.
I gained a BA Fine Art at Leeds University and have trained in Florence, at The Slade and The Ruskin, Oxford.
I am delighted to be a member of the Contemporary British Portrait Painters, and one of the resident artists at the Oxford Old Fire Station. I organise the annual Jericho Artweeks Lecture in Oxford and am current chairman of the Oxford Art Society."
