Andrey Novikov was born in 1985. In 2004 he graduated from the Pyatigorsk Art School, Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 2008 he graduated from the North Caucasus Federal University, Master of Fine Arts. Since 2008 he is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

"I always have a sketchbook with me, in which I capture the world around me. I am interested in the interaction of the inner state of the person or group of people depicted with the surrounding space. The natural and familiar habitat for us is discordant with our inner world, and this has always shocked me," he says.
