The key word in the work of Christos Giannopoulos is the memory.
This concept permeates both his older and more recent works, as there is a common way of looking at and dealing with different issues. For example, the way a landscape is portrayed does not show us as much the landscape itself through the artist's gaze as a possible recollection of it or even a recollection of a rather vague place. This is achieved through visual means, such as the use of color and brushstroke, the limited color gamut and the blurred outlines, which, not only do not prevent us from seeing better, but, possibly, help us to remember better.
